Terms of Use for Dhikr Reminders
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Dhikr Reminders mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms and the App's Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Independent application
Dhikr Reminders is an independent application. It is not an official application of Quran Foundation, Quran.com, QuranReflect, Google, Cloudflare, Foursquare, OpenStreetMap, AlAdhan, Al Quran Cloud, or other third-party content/service providers identified in the App.
3. Free release
The current production release is free and contains no in-app purchase, payment checkout, paid unlock, subscription, or advertising SDK. We may change the App's business model in a future version only with appropriate notice and policy/store updates.
4. Religious content and sources
The App presents Quran, translations, Tafsir, Hadith, Adhkar, prayer information, and audio from identified sources. Source labels and legal notices are provided in the App where applicable. Quran Foundation content is used subject to Quran Foundation's developer terms and source-specific requirements. Third-party content remains subject to the rights and terms of its respective providers.
The App is designed to preserve Quran text integrity and to avoid generating unverified religious translations. However, no software or external provider is error-free. If you notice a possible content mistake, use the App's report feature or contact support.
5. Prayer times, Qibla, and Adhan
Prayer times, Qibla direction, travel detection, and Adhan scheduling depend on device settings, location, selected calculation method, operating-system scheduling, cached data, and external providers. The App includes offline fallbacks, but you remain responsible for selecting an appropriate calculation method and confirming important religious times with a trusted local authority when necessary.
6. Permissions
Some features require Android permissions, including location, background location, notifications, and exact alarms. Location and Automatic Travel are optional at the app level. Denying a permission may disable or reduce the related feature without preventing use of unrelated features.
7. Acceptable use
You may use the App for lawful personal use. Do not attempt to abuse, overload, bypass, scrape, reverse engineer protected service credentials, or interfere with the App's third-party APIs or security controls. Do not use the App or its content to promote hate, extremism, unlawful activity, or deliberate misrepresentation of Islamic/Quranic content.
8. Third-party services
Some App features depend on third-party services. Their availability, content, rate limits, terms, and privacy practices are outside our direct control. We may change or remove a provider when needed for reliability, rights compliance, security, or policy compliance.
9. No warranty
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every device, provider, network, operating-system behavior, prayer calculation, map result, translation, or audio source will be error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the App or a third-party service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms as the App or legal requirements change. The date above will identify the latest version. Material changes may be communicated through the App or store listing when appropriate.
